February 1, 2010In the fall of 2009, Columbia® Sportswear and three of its subsidiaries reached out to its partners and issued a challenge. Design four new exhibit concepts to represent Columbia’s four key brands for the 2010 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. Hill & Partners along with a fellow competitor were asked to meet the challenge in a “winner takes all” opportunity to represent industry leaders Columbia Sportswear®, Sorel®, Mountain Hardwear®, and Montrail®.
With only a few months to go before the 2010 Winter Outdoor Retailer Show the RFP came as quite a surprise. Mountain Hardwear and Montrail were already clients of Hill & Partners however Columbia and Sorel had been working with a different exhibit house. The challenge was well met by Hill & Partners resulting in four new exhibits that would all share a common aisle at the upcoming show.
